Child! Thou art Divine!
For who else but you –
You alone – could dare
to abandon your mothers’ lap
and sacrifice princely riches
to search for the Truth.
You alone had the rocky will
that could face all –
fire, wind, summer, and fall –
in the Quest of the Divine Truth,
to quench your thirst for the Divine Fruit,
and finally find the Blissful Blessing
that Sages yearn for ages.

Child! Thou art Divine!
For who else but you –
You alone – could dare
to be born in a Demon’s abode
– a Demon avowed against God –
and yet chant His Name,
sans fear, sans shame.
Thrown off cliffs, sitting upon a pyre,
lost in His thoughts, fuelling your father’s ire.
You couldn’t change his views,
yet, set afire the lamp of prayers,
bringing us Graces desired.

The first story refers to the story of Child Dhruva on whose name we have the
Dhruva-Nakshatra (North Star) (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhruva), and the second story refers to Bhakt Prahlaad (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WfQckLIhCo and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prahlada).

There’s a Prahladpuri Temple in Multan that I just came to know of – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prahladpuri_Temple,_Multan. Also, prayers for Dhruva are mentioned in Dhruva-stuti as mentioned in the Vishnu Purana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vishnu_Purana) is an extended version of the Vedic Purusha sukta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purusha_sukta) and is quite different from the Dhruva-stuti of Bhagavata Purana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhagavata_Purana).
